Make Waves, Not Waste: Join the Sea Cleaners Bay of Plenty Crew
You’ll be joining our Tauranga based skipper and deckhand on our purpose built 6.5m catamaran to access the whole of the Tauranga harbour, estuaries and extended coastline to remove rubbish and litter. This is done via boat to access the harder-to-reach areas of our harbour, and then walking and kayaking shoreline to collect the rubbish.
Our crew is trained and will be readily available to help in any way they can to make sure your day out on the water is safe and productive, yet most importantly, enjoyable!
**NB: No maritime experience or prior training required, our crew are trained and professional and will deal with vessel operations and all safety, don’t let that put you off!**
**Requirements:**
o Weather appropriate clothing and footwear able to get dirty
o Food and drink, lots of water!
o A great attitude with a passion for preserving our marine environment
o To be fit and able bodied as you will be embarking and disembarking the vessel and kayaks multiple times throughout the day on various substrates (rocks, mudflats, sand, banks etc)
